Corsham Court is a privately owned house with a significant art collection, that is open to visitors
With its origins dating to the Elizabethan period, with gardens and parkland designed by Capability Brown.
Running between Box and Corsham, the tunnel can be seen from the A4 on the Northern outskirts of the village of Box. The tunnel was opened in 1841 and completed the Great Western Railway, connecting Bristol with London.
The Corsham Almshouses date to the 17th Century and were founded by Lady Margaret Hungerford, who was married to the Commander of Cromwell's forces in Wiltshire.
Lacock is a charming village that dates back to the 13th Century and remains largely unchanged to this day.
The Fox Talbot museum (dedicated to the inventor of one of the original photographic processes) and Lacock Abbey (the setting for some of the "Harry Potter" movies) is also found in Lacock.
The village can trace its origins to the middle ages, where a castle was once situated (some reamins can still be found). Today, the village is more famous for its many TV and film roles, most notably for its starring in "Dr Dolittle".
There are numerous activities within the area, including the safe exploration of Cheddar's caves, cliff-top walks, lookout towers and a museum to name a few of the attractions.
As the name suggests, this is the birthplace of the world famous Cheddar cheese, which were originally left to mature in the caves in this gorge. The original method of cheese making can still be tasted in the village.

The world heritage city of bath is a short drive from Corsham and is serviced by frequent buses.
Bath has a diverse range of attractions, but is most famous for its Roman Baths, The Royal Crescent, Pulteney Bridge, the Jane Austen Museum, Bath Abbey and other splendid Regency architecture.
Bath also offers numerous activities, such as several theatres, the Bath spa, boating on the Avon, shopping, pitch and putt golf, the races and many more.
There is no access to the hill, but observation from the road is available all year round and is free to view.

The tidal range of the Severn is the second highest in the world and at several points in the year, the Severn experiences the "bore" which is a tidal wave of varying height, but that which can be over 2m high.
Surfers can be seen riding the wave upstream. Check out the web address above, for times to see the bore.

Activities
Cumberwell offers an 18 hole course and two 9 hole courses. Visitors are most welcome.
Cumberwell Park also offers a club house built in a Wiltshire barn style, containing a spikes bar, Pro shop and a function room.
Bowood comprises: Golf, house, gardens, adventure playground and events throughout the year.
Golf is on a championship course and is 7,317 yards and offers a superb clubhouse. The adventure playground is a wonderful treat for under 12's and contains a full-size pirate ship, aerial walkways, a trampoline, a flying fox, huge scramble nets and most famously the "Death Slide" (as it is known locally) which is based on a Victorian design with a 19ft vertical drop.
Kingsdown Golf club was founded in 1880 and is the oldest club in Wiltshire and the second oldest in the West country.
The golf course is a test for even the best golfers and spectacular views can be had of the Box valley. Kingsdown is a members owned club but welcomes visitors thoughout the week.
